Alpern Rosenthal Gives Back this Holiday Season with Toy Drive

PITTSBURGH, PA – As part of Alpern Rosenthal’s Charity of the Month Campaign, the firm collected more than 100 unwrapped toys at its first ever toy drive in response to the need for struggling families this holiday season. The drive was held from November 14th through December 1st and concluded with a trip to the Miracle Mile Shopping Center in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, where local radio hosts and crew from 96.1 KISS FM’s Stuff-a-Bus were set up to accept donations for the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.

Hot Wheels, Mr. Potato Head and Barbie were some of the first toys donated. Blaise DiNatale, a senior manager at Alpern Rosenthal, participated with the toy drop and met with some of the marines. “Without all the staff volunteers who help collect for our Charity of the Month Campaign, we simply could not do all that we do to give back to the community. Helping those in need is a natural fit for us.”

Toys for Tots is a nationwide campaign administered by the U.S. Marine Corps. The program collects new, unwrapped toys in collection boxes positioned at local businesses to provide Christmas presents for needy children. The Pittsburgh area campaign, run by nine active-duty Marines, annually distributes over 300,000 toys to over 50,000 children in the Greater Pittsburgh area. Toy donations are collected through December 24.
