	Top Five Fastest-Growing Firms Alpern Rosenthal has been named as one of the Top Five Fastest Growing All-Star accounting firms in the nation by INSIDE Public Accounting. These All-Star firms, selected solely on their performance in specific areas of management and growth, are compared with the more than 400 firms that participated in the 2011 annual IPA Survey and Analysis of Firms.
	Pittsburgh's Top Workplaces Alpern Rosenthal has been selected by the Pittsburgh Post Gazette as one of the best 85 places to work in Pittsburgh. The ranking is based on our employees’ responses to a series of questions about the organization, including its leadership, career opportunities, work flexibility, compensation and benefits.
	Top 100 Accounting Firm Alpern Rosenthal has been named among the nation’s Top 100 accounting firms by INSIDE Public Accounting. This designation is based on one of the longest-running reports of accounting firm operations and management. To achieve this honor, firms must excel in proven growth, internal processes and market knowledge.
	Top 100 Accounting Firm Alpern Rosenthal has been named a Top 100 Firm of 2011 by Accounting Today.  On the list, Alpern Rosenthal is ranked in the Top 100, Top 20 for the Mid-Atlantic region, and Top 20 for pacesetters in positive growth in the United States.
	Best of the Best Honorable Mention  Alpern Rosenthal has been named as one of INSIDE Public Accounting’s Best of the Best Honorable Mention Firms for 2011.  Each year, 25 firms in the nation earn the Best of the Best designation and an additional 25 firms earn the Honorable Mention designation.
	Best Places to Work The West Palm Beach office of Alpern Rosenthal has been named one of the 2011 Best Places to Work by the South Florida Business Journal. The program highlights companies in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties whose operations are changing the business landscape. 	Balance Award for Workplace Sensitivity — American Society of Women Accountants  Alpern Rosenthal has been honored nationally for its commitment to work/life balance and sensitivity to the concerns of women in the accounting and financial industry. The Firm was presented with the American Society of Women Accountants' (ASWA) Balance Award showcasing its ability to make the work experience rewarding and empowering. Each year, the ASWA Educational Foundation recognizes "best in market" national, regional and local companies whose commitment to work/life balance reflects a clear prioritization of both the value and the values that winning companies place on their chief asset — their people.
	Honoring our Practice Development Program Alpern Rosenthal has been locally and nationally recognized for a program which encourages practice development among all employees and allows each individual to create a practice development program that fits their interests and strengths. Through practice development, professionals can build a referral network, service current clients better as well as attract new clients. The program has been honored at the annual People Do Matter Awards which recognize Southwestern Pennsylvania employers whose human resource practices best demonstrate the importance of providing workers a positive return on their contributions of time, attention, ideas, knowledge, passion, energy and social networks to ensure productivity, efficiency and business results. In addition, the program has been honored by the Society for Marketing Professional Services and the Leading Edge Alliance, an international association of accounting firms.
