Alpern Rosenthal Financial Services President: Guest on PCNC's NIGHTTALK

PITTSBURGH, PA – Alpern Rosenthal Financial Services president, Adam Yofan, made a guest appearance at the NIGHTTALK set of the Pittsburgh Cable News Channel (PCNC).  He joined a roundtable discussion on the 2012 Financial Outlook LIVE on the air on January 12, 2012.

The discussion centered on numerous financial, economic and political hot topics.  What does a soaring national debt mean to the people of the United States? What level of intervention should the government have on unemployment? Are the latest job numbers as good as some people are saying?   If consumer borrowing is up, will that have an effect on consumer confidence for the rest of the year? Where is the European debt crisis going to hit us?

 Mr. Yofan made mention of several key points:

“The U.S. debt is tens of trillions of dollars, if not more, yet the ‘super committee’ couldn’t cut a mere $1 trillion.”

“Unemployment is more than eight percent, and taxes are scheduled to increase significantly in 2013.” 

“Though those facts may be concerning,” he said, “it doesn’t change the fact that our clients (1) are retired, or are retiring soon; (2) need an executable plan, not hope, and (3) need us to  identify and mitigate their financial blind spots.”
